I think you should absolutely do Little Shop of Horrors. It has been a dream of mine to play Seymour Krelbourn since I was 6 years old. Too bad I will be gone. Still, it is amazingly fun play with a relatively small cast, and I think that it would play nicely in Weisiger.
My vote is She Loves Me. Smallish cast, not to difficult to sing, not a lot of choreography, and still a great show. It's the same story as the movie You've Got Mail.
I agree, WICKED would be amazing, but I don't think we could get the rights to it. Little Shop sounds fun. What about Jekyll and Hyde? Too big of a cast? or West Side Story?
Yes, "Wicked" would be amazing. Dansing and singing shouldn't be a problem. We have amazing talent at our school, and respect for our Theatre department would go way up if we challenged ourselves with great singing and choreography!
Godspell, Godspell, Godspell, Godspell, Godspell. It's funny, has a great worldy message about being kind to your neighbor, incorporates philosophy for those intellectual beings out there, beautiful songs, and cool/simple choreography!!!
i know i'm slightly ridiculous, but my favorite musical of all time is "the king and i". main cast is small, but with plenty of room for "extras". great opportunity for integrating some choreography...costumes would be sweet... ---katie wilson
Well, if you want to do small cast musicals there is one called The Fantastics. Its a funny musical, we did it at my High school, we added a chorus so that there was more parts, without that there are 7 parts?
I think I love you You're Perfect Now Change, Assasins, Passion, or Tommy would be interesting choices for the school to do. Not totally big casts and yet interesting plot lines.
My co - workers suggest - Lucky Stiff, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Once on this Island, Songs for a New World
Hope that helped.
If I had to pick out of these though I would like to see Passion or Assasins

I'm torn between Little Shop and Wicked. Both would be completely awesome
